Special Backfromthedead Post

So this blog has pretty much been dead since June, and I don't really plan on bringing it back to regular posting in the next little while. However, I have a special album that simply HAS to be posted.

My boy Bearplane is back with his second album, Bearcraft Carrier. It is a must download, check it at this link.

That will be all, if you want to learn more check the myspace.

Too Ridiculous...

Eminem Freestyles on Radio 1

This is DISGUSTING

The Science of Skank

This track reminds me of being in a Zelda dugeon, but with way more layers than my game boy could ever produce. Its a pretty slow track, not really a club hit, more something to chill out and listen to on repeat for hours. Check out Stagga at www.chromekids.com.

Purple Lips

Purple Lips are a new act, and I had a lot of trouble finding info on them. Im pretty sure they are an act based in Italy with an affiliation with Alex D'Elia. Either way, the single they sent me, based on a Tetris (yea, Tetris) sample, is ill. Check it out

Purple Lips - Purple Blocks (YSI) (zShare)

Loads of New Stuff

Got some hot tracks in the inbox over the last few days, hopefully ill have them all up tonight (if i dont just go see Star Trek again). Anyway, the first of the bunch is a remix of Passion Pit's "The Reeling" by Burns.

He doesn't take too huge of a swing at it, but tweeks enough of it that it feels distinctly different. in a good way. he adds a couple extra layers in parts that are really really relaxing.

GALAXY

I really do not have the words to describe the email and mixtape that landed in my box a couple days ago. Check the message:

Hi!,

How have you been?

This time, Hoshina takes us to the galaxy.

He remixed 10 songs. They are concept albums that make galaxy a theme.

First of all, we recommend the thing to which it sequentially listens from No.1 to No.10.

Ten Remixes is one story like stars that exists in one Galaxy.

The same star is not in Galaxy as one. In the same way as, Remixes have the feature respectively.

The story receives the end by the last "Message In A Bottle".

The percussion sound in which time is ticked away rather forgets time.

It’s instant travel not to feel 40 minutes.

Became another year until 2010.

However, we cannot trip to space freely still.

Please experience a little early Galaxy travel in "Galaxy" Remixes / Hoshina Anniversary.

Have a nice Galaxy trip!

Thanks from the Far East,

Takeuchi

and Check the remixes here.

Also, if you think its a little 'out there' listen to it from track one all the way through, it grows on you really fast. If ya want more, check the myspace here.

New M.anifest Cut ft Muja Messiah

Two sweet Minneapolis rappers that Ive featured before, M.anifest and Muja Messiah, team up on this new track from M.anifests upcoming 'Coming To America' release. Its called Rebel, produced by Budo, and is definitely sweet. Its a little slower then the other cuts from these two Ive heard before, but they pull off the slower beat really well too. Sweet flow.

Long Time No See

So finals kicked my ass, but thats all done now. I am home free for the summer months, well until i start working. I havnt checked my email in a couple weeks, so im sorry for all the backlog, ill get through it asap.

To start off the inbox cleanout, heres a sweet new track from May 68, called "My Ways". Its pretty electropoppy, just the way i like it. They are an indie-electo pop group from Manchester, UK, and definitely worth keeping an eye on. I would also reccomend grabbing "The Duke Is Dead", which as been a staple on my radio show for the past month and a half or so.

New Beatards Vid

Check the vid for 'Nasty Funky'. Lots of robots and black suits. Definitely worth a peep.

Sicknote

Sorry ive been so spacey with the blogging lately, lots of things going on in the non-blog world. Hopefully ill get back on it as summer winds down. To those of you sending me tracks, I do listen to them, and will get around to posting as many as is feasible. I also just started up twitter, so well see how that goes, twitter.com/auralsatisfacti.

On to the music. I got this track 'Death Before Employment' from Sicknote (appropriate, right?) and have been spinning it on air (shameless plug for my radio show, from 9-1030 EST streaming here). Check it out tonight if your down. This track features some heavy beats, way danceable. It also touts the message Death Before Employment, which is of course something we all want. So, check it.

Sicknote - Death Before Employment (YSI) (zShare)

New Matt and Kim Vid

So Matt and Kim decided to run naked through Times Square for their new video. What do you guys think, Art or Not? Im not entirely decided. Check the vid tho.

Matt and Kim - New Music - More Music Videos

New Artist and Old

Ive got a new act for ya, discoRUIDO!. They are a mexican rock band. Something about mexican underground music just has me recently. Thats not to say the track isnt great, its just not what i typically throw up for you guys. Check it out.

If your techno fix hasnt been satisfied, The Polish Ambassador has just hit me up with a remix of Don't stop the Music by Rihanna. Check his blurb:

"Every so often there comes a battle fought for reasons of...battle fighting, a test of strength showcased simply for the sake of spectacle. Through it, ideas are dismantled. Fears are shaken. Platitudes are stirred and sheer randomness guides life in a new direction. In today's contest, pop superstar Rihanna is pitted against indie electro entity, The Polish Ambassador; a virtual David and Goliath scenario. The ambassador strikes first, unleashing a sexy, electro, eighty's vibe so hot it scorches Rihanna's satin panties clean off. It's no doubt Rihanna is shaken. The ambassador establishes early on he is not to be taken lightly. Rihanna counters with a monstrous blow of her own, the smash hit vocals of her pop classic Please Don't Stop the Music. The battle continues, back and forth, back and forth. Polish and Rihanna tussle and tangle fusing together this track. By nightfall, there is only one clear winner. Yes, my darling.... It is you. Free download for all! You did it! Great job. "

Guy cracks me up. Grab the track here

Streetlab remixes Hall and Oats

Streetlab just hit me up with a remix of Hall and Oats's 'I Can't Go For That', which adds a tasty electronic flavor to the classic song. They play with a bunch of the vocals, some are vocoderized, which sounds pretty sweet. Definitely worth a look.

New Eminem Vid

Eminem finally put out the video for We Made You, which has been floating around for a few days. Peep it.

Cats v Dogs

Don Diablo just put out a new track called 'Pussycat Too (Ft Example)', which is basically four minutes of why cat lovers and dog lovers can't get along. With Don Diablo riffs, and Example rapping. Sounds sorta iffy, right? WRONG. Definitely a track worth picking up.

Don Diablo (ft. Example - Pussycat Too (YSI) (Mediafire)

UltraChorus

UltraChorus is a Minneapolis based duo just recently put out a sweet 7', featuring two awesome songs, Words Kept Talking and Planetman. They are somewhere between 'Hot Chip, T-Pain, and a little Phoenix'. Sounds good, right? Check em out

New Clockwork Mixes

Clockwork just hit me up with three fantastic new remixes, of Basshunter, Brian Cox, and Bloc Party. Since my first Clockwork post got killed off my the DMCA, lemme throw a little knowledge at you. Clockwork is a 17yr old dj/producer from LA, whos been dropping sweet tracks for a while. Kids these days, right? Anyways, these mixes hit pretty heavy with roaring basslines, the kind you want to jump around to in a packed club. These are definitely worth checking out.

Bryan Cox - Let's Go To Work (Clockwork Remix) (YSI) (zShare)
Bloc Party - Flux (Clockwork Remix) (YSI) (zShare)

The Virgins

Ive been really into the Virgins recently, and there have been quite a few quality remixes put out recently. I hope they can get an elbow in on the ridiculous flood of Phoenix remixes that have been flooding hypemachine/my itunes. Get over 1901 people, sure its a great song and all, but it doesn't need a billion remixes a la D.A.N.C.E.

Anyways, i digress. The Virgins are a NY based 3 piece, playing rock/funk/r&b ish stuff. They put out a LP in June, but ive just recently seen a few good remixes hit the blogworld, especially off the track 'Rich Girls'. Check out these two by the Beatards and Le Castle Vania.

1901 Remixes by Binary

Binary heavy hitters Fabian and Nightwaves just put out remixes of Phoenix's gem 1901. They totally shift the production to a more electro feel, à la typical dreamy synth production that we hear from the Binary guys. Part electro pop, part disco jam. All worth checking out.
