Svelt St
Svelt St. just sent me a promo track, which is absolutely fantastic. First, a bit about Svelt St: they are married couple vocalist Feelmore and emcee Bang! Cheeto. They pull in quite a few different influences, from hip hop to electronic to just pure vocalizations. They're also putting out an album next month, which should be ill.
Svelt St's "Po' Boy" is one of those tracks that just keeps getting better and better every time you listen to it. Its been on my repeater for the last few days. Its got some pretty sweet vocalizations that make up half of the beat, along with some hip-hop electro influenced beatmaking. Check it

LexiconDon
LexiconDon just hit me up with some sweet new (exclusive!) tracks for your ears.
"LexiconDon is Alex Koons from Seattle, WA, transplanted to LA. He comes from a hip-hop background, but his recent transformation into synth pop hookmaster was too much for us to ignore. He got to LA and just flipped his whole style up. He's got plenty of that LA swagger, but his voice is straight Cure. It's pretty hard to keep these songs out of your head. Binary artists Fabian and On Off On are behind the production on his songs."
Right on, his synthwork is pretty spectacular, highly recommended.

If your in the LA area, I would highly recommend hitting up the Binary show with The Twelves, December 9th. Check it.
PS, i put up an ad in the sidebar, if it works out ill be migrating to wordpress to escape all the shit blogger's been pulling. Hope ya don't mind.

New AC
Aural Satisfaction fav AC hit me up with a new track recently, called 'So Cold'. I really have a ton of respect for AC's flow (remember New Soul?), and So Cold is no exception. Incidentally, New Soul was the first track I blogged about, way back in May.
Check it

Forgot about Dre
Morsy (of Nanachill) takes on the classic 'Forgot About Dre' by Dr. Dre and Eminem. He spins the classic around, adding some synths, but keeping the same classic vibe. Its pretty fantastic.

New Chromeo
Aural Satisfaction favs Chromeo are still filling up my inbox with new stuff. And they're working on a new album! Gonna be bomb.
Firstly, Fools Gold hit up 100% with a super smooth remix, with a little heavier base, and faded vocals, but still maintaining that Chromeo flavor we know and love. Check it.

Next up is a remix by Chromeo of highly bloggable Vampire Weekend, on their track 'The Kids Don't Stand a Chance'. They totally retool it, making it synthy, but a little heavier than most of Chromeo's stuff. The bassline is key.

This song by Joe Raciti is made with only cardboard instruments. How cool is that? Ive watched the video about 15 times since it dropped into my inbox yesterday. way cool.
Heres the link to another sweet track that came into my inbox with it, called 'Marry Me Mary'. Its sorta hard to describe, its got a little bit of everything in it. Just take a listen

Lovers Electric
Lovers Electric are Adelaide, Australia based electropoppers, with some serious sound. Some of their stuff is pretty lowkey, but this track i got for ya is pure dynamite. 'You Got It' is sorta rockish, but its certainly got a great dancy thing going on. Very enjoyable.

Le Castle Vania
Ok, voting is over (at least for those of us on the East Coast), so it just about time to start the partying, because we no longer have any control over who wins this (important) election. Its time to just dance our faces off.
Heres a super sweet track from Le Castle Vania, called Zero Machine. It is guaranteed to knock your pants off so you can dance in a natural and uninhibited state. Absolutely epic track.

DMCA Needs to Die
This would be the 100th post, except for all of the stupid DMCA takedowns. This is getting ridiculous. When I write something and put up music with the express email consent of an artist, what right does Blogger have to decide that its not legal? I mean its fine if an artist or promoter emailed me and asked me to take something down, sure i understand that. But when someone just decides that the content i work on must be illegal because it has a zshare link? That is absolutely absurd, and probably illegal. Im sure theres someone i could be suing if i was a billionare who wanted to take on googles legal team in the courts. But im not.
Im sorry to anyone who has been trying to find a post of mine that gets taken down, i promise its not on purpose.
PS, any other bloggers been having this issue a lot recently?
